Margeaux Candlin

Margeaux Candlin, DNP, RN, RYT, lives in Edwards, Colorado, where she enjoys skiing and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. She is passionate about promoting health and well-being through yoga, meditation, and nutrition, fostering balance in both mind and body.

Margeaux’s yoga journey began in 2000 when she moved from Minneapolis, MN, to attend CU Boulder. She started with Bikram yoga before expanding her practice to include hatha, vinyasa, and yin yoga. A dedicated teacher since 2010, she has completed over 350 hours of training and offers classes designed to cultivate strength, flexibility, and deep well-being. Her studies include training with Teri Leigh Schmidt, Core Power Yoga in Boulder, and Annie Carpenter.

Beyond yoga, Margeaux has over 15 years of experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in Perioperative Services, Cardiology, Plastic Surgery, and Acute Care. Her passion for integrating traditional medicine with holistic healing led her to earn a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Integrative Health and Healing from the University of Minnesota. Through this advanced degree, she developed expertise in evidence-based integrative medicine, allowing her to approach healthcare with a whole-person perspective.

During her DNP program, Margeaux focused on quality improvement initiatives for hospitals, assisted living facilities, and outpatient clinics. She blends her extensive background in conventional medicine with expertise in guided imagery, aromatherapy, Reiki, health coaching, mindfulness, and meditation—bridging modern healthcare with holistic healing to support optimal well-being.

Why Weaving Art and Yoga?

I created Weaving Art and Yoga as a space for meaningful impact—blending artistic expression with healing modalities such as writing, art, and yoga. While large-scale change can be challenging, this platform allows me to share ideas that inspire and support well-being on a broader level.

People share their passions in many ways—by teaching, having conversations with friends, or discussing the latest medical advancements. I wanted to contribute by offering perspectives that integrate mindfulness, movement, and healing—approaches that complement health and well-being.

My studies in Integrative Nursing with Mary Jo Kreitzer and Mary McMahon taught me to analyze complex topics holistically. This whole-person model of care has deeply shaped my perspective, inspiring me to explore how its principles apply not just in healthcare but in all aspects of life. That inspiration led to Weaving Art and Yoga.

I’m honored to be connected with The Soul Artist Journal and Shakti, https://www.soulartistjournal.com/art--soul-audio-blog/ekphrastic-writing-the-oregon-trail. Having experienced her yoga classes, I’ve been inspired by her energy, wisdom, and passion. She embodies creativity and authentic expression—qualities often missing in traditional healthcare settings.

Healthcare relies on structured systems—checking boxes, crossing T’s, and dotting I’s—all of which are vital for improving health outcomes. Yet healing is not always linear. Human experience is layered, intuitive, and deeply personal. Weaving Art and Yoga explores these non-linear aspects of well-being, offering a space that honors both structure and spontaneity.

Ultimately, Weaving Art and Yoga is about expression, exploration, and transformation. My hope is that it offers new ways of seeing the world—ones that cultivate inner peace and harmony.
